We love chocolate. And one of them is chocolate syrup. We normally use Organic Chocolate Syrup by Santa Cruz which by the way currently offering 75 cents off coupon on their website.
Since we're gonna move to Indonesia, I need to find alternative way to replace them, so here is a homemade chocolate syrup recipe.
This recipe makes 2 cups
What you need:
1 C Cocoa Powder
1.5 C Brown Sugar
1 dash Salt (optional)
1.5 C Water (or Milk)
1 Tsp. Vanilla Powder
1 Tsp. Corn Flour
1 Tsp. Butter (optional)
What to do:
Stir together the ingredients, except Vanilla Powder. Boil for 4 minutes (medium high flame). Add the Vanilla Powder and stir for 1 minute. Stir frequently until the sauce is thicken. Allow to cool. Store in refrigerator.
