Make your blog carbon neutral for free!

I came across this program called "My blog is carbon neutral”. It is an initiative, originally started in Germany by the “Make it Green” program, that has the goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

They plant a tree for your blog and thereby neutralize your blog’s carbon footprint for the next 50 years! Everyone can make a small contribution to the environment. Every tree counts!

It's so easy to do: you just write a short blog post about our programme “My blog is carbon neutral” and include one of the buttons below on your site (ideally in the sidebar). Send the link to your blog to CO2-neutral@kaufda.de and they will plant a tree for you, neutralizing the carbon dioxide emissions of your blog. The trees will be planted in the spring of 2010 by the Arbor Day Foundation.

Please join this effort by visiting here.

Here's an email sample that you're gonna received once you registered with them:

Thank you so much for participating in our initiative and making your blog carbon neutral! Your tree will be planted this month by the Arbor Day Foundation. We thank you for the support!

There are still some trees looking for a sponsor. So if you know some people who have a blog or website, pass it on and we'll make their blogs carbon neutral too!

Danke Dir!
